Skills and plugins for your Grok Bot

20 add-ons that help a small business, in plain words. Each one says what it does, who it is for, how to add it, and where we checked.

Every entry links to an official page. If we could not check it, we left it out.

How adding works

The same steps work for almost every app on this page. Grok Bot's own help describes them.

An app (also called a plugin)

Connects your Bot to a service like Gmail or Google Sheets. Your Bot can only do what your own account can do there.

A skill

A saved set of steps your Bot follows, like "how we write a follow-up". You make one by asking your Bot to save what it just did.

A routine

Tells one Bot when to run a job, like every Monday at 8:00 AM. Start with a task you did once by hand. Then save it as a skill. Then schedule it.

The 5 steps

  1. In Grok Bot, open Connect apps in the sidebar. On a phone, tap your picture at the top left, then Connect apps.
  2. Search for the app and add it.
  3. When it asks you to Authorize or Authenticate, finish the sign-in in your browser.
  4. Check that the app shows under Installed.
  5. In chat, type @ and pick the app, or just ask your Bot to use it.

Or let your Bot do it. Paste a line like this into the chat. Your Bot looks up the app, installs it, and shows a sign-in card if you need one.

Add the Gmail app.

Never type a password, a one-time code or a key into the chat. Your Bot shows a secure card when it needs one. Grok Bot help: Store secrets securely

Not working yet, and what we left out

Zoom does not connect right now. Right now, signing in to Zoom from the Grok Bot desktop app fails with error 4700. Grok Bot's help calls it a known problem and says there is no fix on your end yet. Paste the Zoom link into your calendar event yourself. Grok Bot help: Connect apps
  • Xero, Stripe, Docusign. Money and contract tools. We keep this page about everyday work, not money advice.
  • Shopify, QuickBooks. We could not find them on Cursor's plugin list, so we did not list them.
  • SharePoint, Power BI, BigQuery, Databricks. Grok Bot's help says an admin sets these up first. Not a fit for a small shop on its own.
  • Zoom. Does not connect right now (see above).

If we could not open an official page for a tool and read what it does, we did not list it. We also leave out health tools.
